Carolyn Coldwell Obituary Carolyn Elaine Coldwell, age 81, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Embassy of Willard Nursing Facility in Willard, Ohio.
Carolyn was born on March 3, 1944, to Donald and Arabella (Shaw) Noblit in Bucyrus, Ohio. She attended Bucyrus High School and on July 15, 1961, she married the love of her life, William Coldwell. They resided the majority of their life in Crawford and Huron County. She had worked as a laborer at Timkin in Bucyrus for many years before retiring.
A lover of all animals, Carolyn would always be willing to open her home to help an animal in need. She often took in stray cats and nursed them back to health.
She is survived by her three children, Schellie (Richard) Cunningham of Plymouth, Scherrie Tuttle of Shelby, and Schirlie (Norris Jay) Baker of Shelby; eight grandchildren, Josh (Tasha) Baker, Jordan (O'reste 'Rusty') Reed, Jennie (Bryan) Cox, Amie (Ryan) Schwaderer, Andrea (Ethan) Mauk, Alyssa (Zach) Wallace, Jammie (Corey) LaBarge, and Adam Cunningham; 15 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Robert (Shirley) Coldwell of Bucyrus and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William "Bill" Coldwell in 2017; two brothers Donald and Gerald Noblit and sister Betty Sharpless.
Friends may visit the family at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby on Tuesday, March 25, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Pastor James Robinson will officiate with internment held at Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
In memory of Carolyn's love for animals, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Huron County Humane Society at 246 Woodlawn Avenue, Norwalk, OH, 44857
