Carolyn Moore Jenkins

Carolyn Moore Jenkins, age 89, died peacefully in her home Saturday, March 8, 2025 with her children by her side.
She was born in Norfolk Virginia, September 22, 1935. The daughter of the late Herman Lee Temple and Marian Matthews Temple.
Carolyn was a graduate of Granby High School and the University of Richmond, Westhampton College in 1957. After raising her four children she went back to school and earned her Masters degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University in 1982. She practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor in her community, was an integral part of her Church and preformed mission work in Indonesia and the Hawaiian Islands.
She was the loving and adored wife of the late Charles E. Jenkins II and Walter M. Moore III, mother of the late John Augustine Moore and sister to the late Lee Temple.
She is survived by her daughters Susan Gorog (Jon), Blair Moore, son Walter Moore IV, daughter-in-law's Andrea Moore and Stephanie Moore, Step-son Morgan Jenkins (Sandi) and step-daughter Tricia Jenkins Shotton, eight grandchildren Jonathan Gorog (Anna), Gregory Gorog, Kelly Gorog Gray (Luke), Colby Gorog, Amanda Moore, Erica Moore Standing (Gunner), Jack Shotton, Savannah Moore and 3 great grandchildren, Eliana, Annie and Augustine.
Carolyn was a most beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, Aunt and friend and we all count ourselves blessed who knew her. She lived her life with courage and grace. Her faith in Jesus was constant, as was her concern for the needs of others before her own.
