Carolyn Faye Smith Johnson, 86, of Milton, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 14, 2025. Smith and Ileta Adell Stokes Smith. She graduated from Allentown High School and was a lifelong resident of Santa Rosa County. She worked many jobs throughout her lifetime and retired in 2015 from her favorite, Griswold Peanut Company.
Carolyn, affectionately known as "Boochie", was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Johnson; son-in-law, Kenneth Strickling; father, Ammon E. Smith; mother, Ileta Adell Stokes Smith; and brother, Michael Terry Smith.
She is survived by her daughters, Faye (James) Diamond, Ileta (Dan) Heliums, and Rebecca (Norman) Carlisle; brothers, Tommy (Pat) Smith and Larry Smith; and sisters, Patricia White and Janet Dunn. Carolyn had ten grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
Active Pallbearers are Adam Strickling, Matthew Diamond, Steven Kelley, Kyle Strickling, Spencer Arrant, and David Pennell.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Not Forgotten Team of True Worship Assembly of God Church.
Carolyn loved her family, and she took every opportunity to spend time with them. She enjoyed watching old television shows, serving her Lord, and going to church. She attended True Worship Assembly of God Church where she was one of the first members of the Not Forgotten Team and was also active in the church's Terrace Devotional Team and Young at Heart Group. In her younger years, she loved riding horses and cruising in her convertible gifted to her by her Daddy. Carolyn had a sincere love for people and people were drawn to her. She loved doing for others, especially by making her signature peanut brittle and red velvet cakes to take to church socials. Carolyn will be missed on this earth, but now she resides in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, and her loved ones who have gone on before her. What a wonderful reunion day that will be for her when He looks into her eyes and she hears, "Daughter, welcome home!"
Our Family would like to give a special thanks to Emerald Coast Hospice for all their compassionate and kind care they provided to our mother as well as to our family. A special thanks goes out to Terry, Maggie, and Danielle of the Hospice Team.
