Carolyn Louise Malone, age 88, of Waverly, TN, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Humphreys County Nursing Home in Waverly, TN. Carolyn was born on May 16, 1936, in Chattanooga, TN, to Van Williams and Gladys Hinds Williams. Carolyn was loved by so many and will be remembered for her positive attitude. She was known as taking great pleasure in being with her family and friends and was beloved by her neighbors because of her gentle nature and spirit. She was an expert seamstress and loved sewing and enjoyed being in her garden. In the 1970’s she would cut the children’s hair so that they could continue their education and will always be remembered for her hugs and her favorite saying “what do you need”. Carolyn was always available for those who needed her and will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Donald Wayne Malone, Waverly, TN, Mary Paulette Malone Quigley (Mike), Memphis, TN, William Thomas Malone (Joyce), Hurricane Mills, TN, Van Allen Malone (Mistie), Waverly, TN, 9 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great-Great Grandchildren, Siblings, Doris Lasher & Barbara Thornton, and Several Nieces & Nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Albert Joe Malone, brother, Ronald Williams & Brother-in-law Jim Lasher.
Visitation and Services for Carolyn Malone will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 5-8 PM and on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 2 PM until the service time at 3 PM at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Bro. Jeff Keele will be officiating the service. Interment will be at the Jackson-Cooley Cemetery in New Johnsonville, TN.
