Carolyn McCamey Obituary
Carolyn McCamey, age 77 of Mosheim, passed away Nov. 12, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
Carolyn worked at Five Rivers for 22 years and also for Little Blessings Child Care Center. She attended Overlook Baptist Church while her health allowed.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Darrell Gaskins, and Stephanie and Steven Strange. Grandchildren, Sierra and Brad Gibson, AJ and Ally Strange, Marissa Ivy, Tanner Strange, Alex Strange, Ellianna Gaskins and Haley Strange. Great grandchildren Parks, Kymber, Amelia, Jax, Fin, Cap, Jemma Luca, Andi, and Tommi. Brothers and sister; Ronnie Murray, Nadine Hensley, and Charles Murray. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Alfred and Martha Sue Franklin, Ada and Earlyn Darnell, George and Lethy McCamey, Bertha Willett, Judy McCamey, Kathy McCamey, and Billy and Brenda McCamey. Several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband Charles Phillip McCamey. Parents, JD Murray and Lucy Belt. Several brothers, sisters and in-laws.
The family is eternally grateful to Amedisys Hospice for the comfort and peace they provided. A special thank you to the nurses Shelly Wood Knight, Mary Whaley, and her granddaughter Haley Strange.
The graveside service will be held Sunday at 3 pm at Graceland Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dwayne Steele officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
