AUBURN - Carolyn F. Miller, age 90, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Oct. 27, 1935, in Auburn, Indiana, the daughter of the late Ora M. and Harriet A. Shoudel.
Carolyn was a 1953 graduate of Auburn High School.
Carolyn devoted many years of her career to Mt. Vernon Nazarene University, where she was known for her kind spirit and strong work ethic.
A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted member of Auburn Church of the Nazarene and loved her church family dearly.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. who loved her family deeply. and found great joy in the time she spent with them. Carolyn enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling, and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes. Musically gifted, she shared her talents through her beautiful singing voice and her ability to play both the piano and the saxophone - gifts that brought joy to many throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, George Miller, of Auburn; children, Kim (Jim) Miller, of Newark, Ohio, Craig (Kerri) Stump, of Fredericktown, Ohio, Jeff (Glenda) Stump, of Fredericktown, Ohio, Julie (Shawn) Cook, of Georgetown, Tennessee, Eric Stump, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Kurt Stump, of Fredericktown, Ohio; George's children, Terry Miller, of Auburn, Daniel (Tina) Miller, of Waterloo, Nora (Scott) Place, of Olivet, Michigan, Kristine (Thomas) Gruwell, of LaOtto and Brian (Connie) Miller, of Garrett; many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her brother, John (Diana) Shoudel, of Roanoke, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Stump; her parents; grandson, Matthew Stump; and daughter-in-law, Trisha Miller.
A memorial service to celebrate Carolyn's life will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at Auburn Church of the Nazarene, 2301 N. Main St., Auburn, Indiana.
Pastor Doug Thomas will be officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Auburn Church of the Nazarene.
