Carolyn M. Nawrocki, age 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Luther Manor Assisted Living in Wauwatosa.
Born on April 24, 1949, in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of James and Rosemarie (nee Ries) DeBoth. On December 2, 1972, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Nawrocki at St. Agnes Catholic Parish in Butler, beginning a loving partnership that lasted over five decades.
Carolyn dedicated more than 20 years of her career to the Menomonee Falls Public School system, where she served as a Special Education Teacher's Aide.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Carolyn found joy in skiing, camping, fishing, and canoeing-activities that not only enriched her life but also led her to meet her husband, Ken. Summers at the family lake house on Velvet Lake in Rhinelander were a cherished tradition, filled with laughter, memories, and time with loved ones. Carolyn also enjoyed traveling and treasured her adventures to Alaska, Hawaii, California, and through the Panama Canal.
Above all, Carolyn was devoted to her family. She took immense pride in her role as wife, mother, devoted grandmother, and dog lover, and found her greatest joy in time spent with those she loved.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Nawrocki; her children, Andrew, Christopher (Jenessa), and Amy (Tom Kodet) Nawrocki; and her grandchildren, Sylvia and Rowan Nawrocki. She is also survived by her siblings, Rosanne Post, James (Mary), Robert (Sue), MaryLou Strahota, Thomas (Kathy), and Joseph (Debbie) DeBoth; brother-in-law, Robert Schildt; and many dear extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rosemarie DeBoth, her sister, Annette Schlidt, and brother-in-law Robert Post.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carolyn's memory can be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Carolyn's honor on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at St. Agnes Catholic Parish (12801 West Fairmount Avenue, Butler, WI 53007). Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by Mass at 1:00 p.m. A committal service will take place on Friday, May 9, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery (22890 E Broadway St., Waukesha, WI 53186).
