Carolyn Faye Packwood, 78, of Abilene, passed away on November 19th, 2025, in Abilene, Texas.
Visitation will be 3:00-5:00p.m. Sunday on November 30, 2025 at Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd.
Memorial and Celebration services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Monday, December 1st at Broadview Baptist Church with David Cason officiating. Services are under the direction of the Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Burial will be at 1:00p.m. on December 1st at Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Abilene, Texas.
Carolyn was born in Abilene, Tx. to Jesse Earl and Lena Ruth Farquhar on August 17th, 1947. She went to school at Wylie Abilene. She married James (Mickey) on December 4th, 1970, in Alexandria, Virginia. She worked as a Banker for First State Bank, Security State Bank, and Prosperity Bank for 36 years. Upon retirement, she spent most of her time being the best Mema to her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed vacation trips, taking care of her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father and mother, her sister Kathryn Manley and her husband Larry, her brother Jerry Farquhar, her granddaughter Jayma Packwood, and her grandson Taylor Keesee.
Carolyn is survived by her husband James (Mickey), her son Randy and wife Cynthia Packwood, her daughter Stacy Little, her 4 grandchildren Jayden wife Meagan Packwood, Jerron, wife Kaylee Packwood, Slade wife Kystin Little, Destiny husband Zachary Milliorn, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jayden Packwood, Jerron Packwood, Slade Little, Zachary Milliorn, Zachary Atkinson, and Danny Manley.
Memorials may be given to Meals on Wheels, or Wounded Warriors. The family of Carolyn wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of Hendrick Medical Center.
