Carolyn, you were my bonus Mom and one of my closest friends. To hear that you have now been called home just 20 days after my grandmother makes this already difficult year even harder. I had just called you 12 days ago so I could hear your voice. Although I am saddened by this news of your passing, I am filled with warmth from the love and friendship you provided to me for so many years. I will never forget the wisdom you instilled in me. You were one of the most remarkable people I've ever known. Your love for traveling, your stories about living in Germany, Georgia, and Alabama, and your great sense of humor were a delight for the many years we knew each other. I will never forget you and my prayers are with your family in this difficult time. I'll end this message the same way we always ended our phone calls: I love you and Jesus loves you. Rest my friend. You deserve it.
