Mrs. Carolyn Riley

Carolyn Riley, age 63 years of Saginaw, Michigan passed away peacefully from this life on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 surrounded and supported by her loving family. She was born on January 25, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan to Ruby Lee Cain and Jacob Stewart, but she was raised by her auntie/mother, Annie Woodson along with her sister, Patricia Steward.
Carolyn loved the Lord and dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. She served faithfully as a member at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Chevez Marshall, then later joined Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Blake Strozier. She was a faithful servant that enjoyed helping others without expecting anything in return. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, hosting events, travelling and spending time with family and friends that became family. To know Carolyn was to absolutely love her, she was a person that never met a stranger, and would brighten any room that she entered with the flash of her beautiful smile, and those precious dimples.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 37 years, Lloyd Riley; son, Torrey (Misako) Buckley; daughters, Shawn Riley, Tamika Harris, Lakisha Adams and Jasmine (Michael) Riley-Thomas; twelve grandchildren; god-parents, Annie and Willie Haynes. Carolyn also leaves behind siblings, Patricia Steward, Lois Stovall, Rose (Jeffery) Kirkpatrick, Viola Jean (Ronald) Schwartz, Brenda Cain, Glenda (Kermit) Crocket, Linda Cain, Beverly Cain, Tosha Springer and Dale Cain. Carolyn's memory will always be cherished by her many relatives and beloved friends, including Loreann Payton, Doris Jones Linda Whitfield, Judy Finch, Rita Woods, Linda Williams, and god-daughter, Sheree Logan.
Carolyn S. Riley was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ruby Lee Cain and Jacob Stewart; auntie/mother, Annie Woodson; brothers, Joseph Cain, Stanley Davis and James Davis and a sister, Shirley Cain.
The family expresses special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Covenant Medical Center-Harrison 6th floor ICU, Pastor Strozier, Pastor Marshall and all of our family and friends for their support and prayers throughout this journey.
Funeral service 11:00 AM Friday, January 6, 2023, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 810 Cathay St., Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Pastor Blake Strozier officiate with interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 7475 E. Holland Rd. Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM until time of service.
