Carolyn M. Ruggiano passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Einstein Medical Center in E. Norriton. She was 77 years old. Born in Norristown on November 21, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence “Lou” and Anna (Mastercola) Ruggiano. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She was a graduate of Bridgeport High School and then attended Montgomery County Community College where she received an Associate Degree. Carolyn worked in health care as a Nurse’s Aide at Norristown State Hospital, and at Central Behavioral Health for many years as a group therapist. She became an associate member of Daylesford Abbey where she attended mass and went on retreats. Upon her retirement Carolyn was at Norriton Square Nursing Home where she was active and in charge of current events and facilitating many games with other residents.
Carolyn is survived by her nephew Larry J. Ruggiano, Folsom; her sister-in-law Fran Hines and partner Jerry Lockenour, Lititz; nephews Austin Ruggiano, Norristown, and Gavin Ruggiano, Pottstown; as well as many cousins including Dollie DiMino & Marie Rose who were her care givers along with Fran Hines. In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her brother, Larry J. Ruggiano and Nephew Matthew C. Hines.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Carolyn’s Viewing on Friday November 28th at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St. Bridgeport, PA from 9:30 am to 10:20 am. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30am. Carolyn’s interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carolyn’s name to Sacred Heart Church, or a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are by The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Bridgeport, PA.
