Mrs. Carolyn Lever Siron

Carolyn Geneva Lever Siron, 85, of Blythewood, died on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Born in Columbia, SC, on December 17, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Wilton Dozier and Verona Ballentine Lever. Mrs. Siron was a longtime member of Fair Lawn United Methodist Church and a loving homemaker to her husband, four sons and extended family. Known to many as the "Cake Lady", Mrs. Siron made countless wedding and special occasion cakes for her family and friends. She was a devoted Carolina Gamecock Athletics fan and never missed an opportunity to watch and support games. After raising her sons, she enjoyed selling Avon Beauty products – a job she treated as more than a sales position. Through her work with Avon, she reached beyond her community with the love and compassion her family witnessed daily. Survivors include her husband, Donald Lee Siron; sons, James Bruce Siron (Ellen), Wayne Curtis Siron (Rose), Donald Lloyd Siron (Kristin) and Daniel Lee Siron; grandchildren, Katherine Siron, Beaumont Palmer (William), Wayne Siron, Jr. (Katrina), Emily Siron, William Siron; great-grandchildren, Margaret Palmer, Gabriel, Norah, Theo and Calliope. She is also survived by her sister, Sarah Mae Freeman; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dozier Ballentine Lever and Wilton Ray Lever. The funeral service for Mrs. Siron will be held at 3 o'clock, Sunday, September 14th, at Fair Lawn United Methodist Church, with Rev. J.T. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church beginning at 1:30 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
