Carolyn was surrounded by her loving family by her side. Carolyn was born May 9th, 1952, to
Alfred & Geraldine Loertscher (LaRocco) in Montpelier, ID.
Carolyn graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1970.
After graduation she went to ITT Technical Institute in Boise, ID where she graduated from
junior accounting in September 1972. Carolyn then met her loving husband Ron Skinner of 48
years in 1976 and later got married on February 10, 1977. One month later they had their first
child, Michael Tyron Skinner. In 1979 they had their second child Timothy Jon Skinner and in
1980 they had their third child Tamara Sue Skinner.
Carolyn loved her children very much and cherished each of her grandchildren more than
anything. Carolyn was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to
everyone she knew. Carolyn started working at the NJL Helmet Factory in Paris, Id where she
worked for 12 years. In 2001 Carolyn started work at the Ranch Hand Trail Stop where she was
employed till they closed in 2008. A year later the Ranch Hand reopened, and Carolyn went
back to work and was employed there until the time of her passing in 2025. While employed at
the Ranch Hand, she made friends with all the employees and customers. She was loved by
everyone she worked with or met. They were all considered family. If she ever got mad you
would want to be somewhere else.
In 2010 Carolyn got to fly to Memphis Tennessee with her daughter and youngest grandson to
pick up her oldest grandson who was visiting with his other grandmother and family members.
While in Memphis Carolyn had the opportunity to visit Graceland which was where her favorite
singer Elvis Presley once lived, and she enjoyed every second of it.
