Carolyn Smith Obituary
Ruthie was born November 17, 1943, a daughter of the late Cecil and Elizabeth Knell Brown Sr.
Ruthie was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Ruthie loved the county, cooking, loved her sisters and brothers, and she so loved her kids and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Edward Smith; three grandchildren, Carl Davis Hendricks, Adam Smith, Jackson Gilbert; three brothers, Allen Ray Brown, James Russell Brown, Marty Wayne Brown; five sisters, Norma Jean Powe, Anna Thomas, Ellen May Hill, Mary Lyn Brown, Imogene Stevenson.
Ruthie is survived by her five children, Jessie Smith, Howard Smith, Thelma Hendrick, Martha Knight, Mack Cecil Smith; 24 grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren; one brother, Cecil Boyd Brown Jr.; two sisters, Betty Jo Henderson, Violet Marie Clark, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Ruthie will be greatly missed and will forever live through her children and grandchildren.
At the request of her family, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
