Mrs. Carolyn McGee Snell, 86, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 2nd, 2025, while at MUSC - Kershaw Health Medical Center, with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. Rev. Bruce Watford will officiate. Burial will be in the High Hill True Light Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of Ann Holland at 595 McGee Town Road, Bishopville, S.C.
Mrs. Snell was born in Bishopville a daughter of the late Eli Bass and Elizabeth Christmas Bass. She was a loving wife, mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She loved to play Bingo.
Surviving are four children, Thomas (Debbie) Arnold McGee, Bishopville, Teresa (Johnny) Elder, Kershaw, Ann (David) Holland, Bishopville and Dawn (Bill) Elston, Camden; Eight Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Wilkerson, Phoenix, AZ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Arnold McGee and her second husband, Edward Lynn Snell; one granddaughter, April Shrader; two brothers, Larry Bass and James Bass, Jr.; five sisters, Edna Gordon, Tressa Mae Bost, Peggy Echard, June Shook and Lila Mae Brown.
Memorials may be made to the High Hill True Light Church Cemetery, c/o Mr. Dwain Watson, 710 Lynnwood Place, Hartsville, S.C. 29550.
