With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Lee Troupe, a woman of determined spirit and limitless love. Graduating from Wyoming Park High School, Carolyn carried her gentle nature and thoughtfulness through a life dedicated to nurturing others.
Carolyn's life was a testament to her caring and generous spirit. As an adult foster home caregiver, an attentive office cleaner, and a daycare provider, she served others with her whole heart. Her talents as a florist and gardener were a true expression of her nurturing nature. As a loving homemaker and friendly Avon lady, Carolyn connected with many people, always finding a way to include others and make someone's day a little brighter.
Her family was her deepest joy. More than anyone knew, Carolyn held a deep well of faith and love, which she poured into her loved ones. She was steadfast in celebrating traditions and ensuring every gathering was full of warmth. Her legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren, whom she cherished and loved without measure. Carolyn's presence, and her sweet, warm-hearted essence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carolyn Troupe is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years Dennis Troupe, their loving children Scott (Linnea) Troupe, Heath Troupe, Jeff (Penny) Troupe, Agueda Troupe, grandchildren, Joe, Korinia, Kurt (Maddy), Ivory, Kyle (Breanna), Brittany, Amber, Kena, Madeleine, her great grandchildren, Paisley, Kinsley, Rowan on the way, and sisters Vicky Victorino, Val (Chuck) Papp, Cindy Papp, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Carolyn was proceeded in death by her parents Leon and Mary Elerick, and sisters Merilynn Elerick, Louise (Monty) Proper, and Ruby (Bernie) Troupe.
A Celebration of Carolyn's Life will be held on Saturday, September 13th at 2 p.m. at True Life Bible Church, 4550 Byron Center Ave., Wyoming, MI 49508 before her interment at Rest Lawn.

Beautiful celebration! As an extended family member (I´m her cousin´s kid; my grandma was her mom´s baby sister) I loved hearing the familiar stories of interests that pass through the family line: flowers and nature and love of family. When Carolyn would come to an event, she made sure Marilynn came too! We Much love to Dennis and their kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. ended up at the same table at weddings, and her laughter was so contagious! We´d always end up being the loudest table!

My dad was so deeply fond of her, being only two years apart.

Next week Ill be sworn in as Daughter of American Revolution through our Heintzelman/ Bridegam/ Moyer line, and I know she would be so proud of that. We didn´t get a chance to do a Remus road trip with Debbie or Merilynn, but I know all three ladies would be cheering!

Carolyn, you were the sweetest soul.

Carolyn was welcoming to not only my sister Linnea, but to me the little sister as well. I was only around 8-10 yrs old when I met her for the first time. I can remember her big bowls of candy whether it be for Halloween, Easter or just because. I remember swimming in their backyard pool. I remember feeling important as I helped sort Avon orders at the dining table with her and the open invitation to join the Troupe gatherings up at Whiskey Creek.
I´ll remember the sparkle in her eyes, her gentle smile and her sweet embrace as she always greeted me, "Hello, Jessica!"
There wasn´t an big moment she missed as I grew up and when she couldn´t make it to Reesyn´s grad party this summer she still found a way to send a card with a lovely written note.

Carolyn, you can´t read this but I feel better posting it anyway... thank you. Thank you for the hugs, the cheek kisses and the warmth.

The news of Carolyn´s passing is just heart breaking. We were neighbors, best friends and lunch date pals. Our children went to school together and played endlessly. After we both moved away from each other, we wrote letters and sent cards. We always kept in touch. I will keep Dennis, Scott, Heath, Jeff and their families always in my heart and in my prayers.
