Carolyn Tyson Obituary

CAROLYN TYSON

March 31, 1965 - October 20, 2025

Carolyn Tyson passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, her kids father, Tim, and she also received a heartfelt visit from her best friend, Ruby. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 15, 2025, at The New Vintage Grill off Truxtun Ave in Bakersfield, California, at 3:30, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember her extraordinary life.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Carolyn was the daughter of Joyce Cassick and William Tyson. She was a bright and inquisitive student, excelling in her favorite subjectsmath, spelling, and P.E. Carolyn went on to marry her now former husband, Tim Eilers, with whom she shared two children, and later had her two youngest children with her twins father, Jesse Cardenas. Known for her intelligence and technical skills, she pursued a career as an alarm installer and held various positions throughout her life. Her favorite job was working in cannabis along side her son, a job she deeply enjoyed and took great pride in. She would tell you her greatest achievement was her four children.

From her oldest son and firstborn, Justin:

For my one-of-a-kind mom we had so many good times, filled with laughter, love, and memories Ill never forget. Ill miss your smile, your hugs, and you saying, Stop it, Juss. Life just wont be the same without you, Mom.

From her oldest daughter, Cristina:

My beautiful mother, you are one in a million with your sweet, sassy, blunt, no-bull outlook on life. You were always unapologetically yourself. So full of life! I always wanted to be just like you. If I had to pick my own mother, I would pick you 100 times over. You were also the best Nana to all your grandkids. I love and miss you forever.

From her youngest son, Cody:

Very full of life. Always had the right things to say, super generous, will be missed and never forgotten. May the journey to your next chapter be just as amazing as youve imprinted on us. I love you more than I can express. Fly high, Mom.

From her youngest daughter, Katie:

To my mom. You were my protector. The first person to love me. You knew how to party and didnt take no crap from anyone. Im gonna miss our long talks and the advice only you could give. You will forever be in my heart and dearly missed every day. I love you, Mom. Hope you got that cigarette. Fly high.

Carolyn is survived by her four children and their families: her son, Justin Eilers, and his children, Indy, Natily, and Mavric; her daughter, Cristina (Brian) Haney, and her children, Radley (soon to be born), Finley, Tilley, Briley, Marley, and Ethan, who is the proud father of Carolyns first great-granddaughter, Violet; her son, Cody (Rita) Cardenas, and his children, Noah, Nolan, Sophia, and Andrew; and her daughter, Katie Cardenas, and her children, Kylie and Hayden. She is also survived by her brother, Bill Tyson, and her former husband, Tim Eilers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce and William Tyson; her sister, Cassandra; her longtime boyfriend, Brad; and her children's father, Jesse Cardenas.

Donations to help with Carolyn's expenses can be made in person at her Celebration of Life on November 15th.

Carolyn's final resting place will be in the Gulf of America, with details of this special day to be announced at a later date.
