Carolyn Sue Harmon Wilson, born June 1,1943 in Ellsworth, Kansas to parents, Harry R., and Charlotte M. Harmon, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at the age of 80, in Wichita, KS. The family resided in Wichita, where Carolyn and her siblings completed their formal education through Southeast High School. Following graduation, Carolyn worked with Kansas Claims Service as a clerical clerk, where she met Bruce, one of the adjustors, and they married on September 1, 1962.  They raised five children.  Carolyn shifted careers to Clothworld as a clerk. She was later promoted to store manager when Clothworld became JoAnn’s Fabric. She retired after thirty plus years. As an accomplished seamstress, she made 18 full-length gowns for the Boeing Ladies Choral Group, the Crown Uptown waitress uniforms, wedding dresses as requested, full drapes for the home, and outfits for her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Harry Harmon and mother, Charlotte Harmon, a daughter, Kimberly Sue Wilson, and a grandson, Devin Blake Wilson. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Richard (Bruce) Wilson of the residence, and sons, Kevin and Aimee Wilson of Colorado Springs, CO, Tracy Wilson and Lori of Sedgwick, KS, Monte and Andrea Wilson of Ft. Mill, SC, Eric and Amee Wilson of Richmond, TX, and Matt Wilson and Heather of Wichita, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren with 1 great grandchild on the way. Sister, Sharon Lee of Holladay, UT, brother, Harold (Buddy) and Linda Harmon of El Dorado, KS, numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Friday, April 19, at Broadway Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 10am, Saturday, April 20, at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. A burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Services by Cozine Memorial Group – Broadway Mortuary.
