Carolyn Chitoye (Hiraga) Yada passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on November 27, 2025 in Sacramento, California.
Carolyn was born on January 16, 1945 to Henry and Mary Hiraga in Rocky Ford, Colorado. She was the oldest of 2 children. The family moved to California in 1955. Carolyn graduated from Manteca High School in 1963. She married Ben Yada in 1964 and their daughter was born later that year. She started working for the State of California in 1966 in Stockton, California. Carolyn moved from Stockton to Sacramento in 1976. She retired from the Attorney General's office in 1997 in Sacramento due to health reasons.
Carolyn is survived by her brother, Calvin Hiraga, daughter, Lynn Ramos, grandchildren, Courtney Ramos and Aaron Ramos, and great-grandchildren, Brandon, Aurelia and Evelyn.
