Mrs. Carrie Ina Brown

Mrs. Carrie Ina Brown, age 85 of Ocala and formerly of Lake City and White Springs, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Mrs. Brown was born in White Springs to the late Thomas Jefferson and Effie Rigsby Bryan and was a graduate of White Springs High School. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles, traveling and gardening, was an avid Florida Gator football fan and a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Lake City. Mrs. Brown met and married Mr. A.J. Brown while he was her newspaper delivery man. In later years, she would ride along and assist him with his route. Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughters: Debbie (J.W.) Grant, Cindy (Mike) Parker, and Geniece (Doug) Collins; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; four nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-two years: Andrew James "A.J." Brown; her parents; and siblings: Oleta Lindsey, Frances Herndon, Mary Alice Sweat, Lila Fish, Evelyn Stormant, Alma Ruth Sweat, Joe M. Bryan and Elmer Leon Bryan. Funeral services to celebrate her life were held 11:00am, Friday, October 10, 2025, in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Lake City with Reverend Tommy Lindsey officiating. Interment followed the service at Memorial Cemetery, Lake City. Guerry Funeral Home 2659 SW Main Blvd, Lake City, Florida is honored to serve the Brown family.
