Carrie Elizabeth Vega was born August 2, 1983, in Plano, Texas.
Carrie had a smile that could literally light up any room she was in, and she showed instant love to everyone she met. She loved her family, friends, sports, crime shows, "comfy" clothes, getting dressed up, camping, cooking, her fur babies, NOLA, ghost tours, traveling, and loved watching softball.
She had a way of impacting your life in some way and once you met her you just knew you had to be her friend. She was loving, caring, giving, inspiring, goofy, beautiful, smart and most of all spiritual. She had a way of uplifting your spirits when you needed it the most. She was talented in the arts and loved to show off her creations or talents. It could be in the form of a wreath she made, or a shirt, a mug, a painting, a diamond painting or if you were lucky enough to hear – sing a song or play the piano.
Carrie was always ready to give even if it meant it was a sacrifice she would have to make. She would give you what you needed and worry about herself later. She gave of herself above all else, that was her purpose.
Carrie was diagnosed in October 2018 after 2 tragic months prior and through this she still smiled and moved on in life with positivity and a zest for life. She was not going to ever let the diagnosis define her. She was going to beat the disease and not let the disease beat her. She was bound and determined to live life to its fullest and in making this decision she heard God and understood what he was tasking her with.
She knew that she had a purpose and above all else she was going to do God's will. She began blogging and created a Facebook page dedicated to her journey. She wrote her blog and updated her page as a way to clear her mind and soul, it was therapeutic. In no way did she ever think she would gain a following and have people asking for new blogs or updates. Her stories were passed along and shared and touched so many lives and gave others perspective, grace, understanding and purpose for whatever was going on in their lives. Carrie was a living testament of Gods work and what could be accomplished if we all were to just stop and listen and accept this God's guidance.
Carrie would always say, "Thy will be done" and she had many opportunities to be upset with him but that never happened. She was everything She was light She was PURPOSE.
Carried is survived by her loving husband Salvador Vega; children Salvador Vega, Jr., Bella Vega, Carly Cluff, Veida Vega; parents Ken and Chris Cluff; siblings Tiffany Cartledge and her husband Tom, Sarah Lilley and her husband Zach, David Cooley, Russell Cluff, Nickie Cooley and her husband Tyson, Rachael Condiff; father and mother-in-law Victor and Gloria Vega; brothers and sisters in law Victor Vega, Jr. and his wife Gabriela, Micaelo Vega and his wife Aila and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
