Carrol Audrey Dropp, (nee Holtz) 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2023. Born on September 3, 1931, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Alfred and Marie Holtz. Carrol spent her entire life in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to John (Jack) B. Dropp on May 28, 1949. Jack preceded her in death on December 28, 2014. Carrol loved animals, family time, socializing with friends, was an avid baker, enjoyed gambling trips, assembling puzzles, and volunteering with the Krejci, Braun, Meier VFW Post 7485 Ladies Auxiliary.
Carrol was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Rolla, LeRoy, and Donald Holtz, and sisters: June Fisher, Ruth Tomaszewski, Lorraine Dentice, Dolores LaSusa.
She is survived by her children, James M Dropp, Cindy M. (Dropp) Waedekin (Curt); and grandchildren, Brian Dropp (Jodi), Jeffrey Dropp (Laura), Brenda Gerski, Michael Waedekin (Tara), Anthony Waedekin, Andrew Waedekin, Adam Waedekin and great grandchildren: Paige and Devin Waedekin, Marley, Lena and John Dropp, Adalyn and Violet Gerski. Also survived by sisters-in-law: Marian Holtz, Linda Holtz and Lorraine Holtz and by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, at ST. MATTHIAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 9306 W. Beloit Rd., Milwaukee, from 10:00AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.
Carrol's life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
