Charles Carroll Graham was born on September 8, 1942, in Counce, TN, to the late Charlie and Ruby Carroll Graham. He brought joy and warmth to all those who knew him, leaving a legacy that will be cherished by his family and friends.

On January31, 1976, he was united in marriage to Cynthia, embarking on a journey together filled with love and devotion for 48 beautiful years. Carroll’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his loved ones - a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His grandchildren affectionately called him “DoDo,” (pronounced as Dough Dough)

Carroll graduated from Selmer High School before pursuing his passion for baseball at the University of Memphis. His commitment to excellence extended beyond academics and sports; he served honorably in the United States Army for six years, where he excelled as a military police officer and sharpshooter. During this time, his love for sports flourished as he competed in baseball and basketball around the world.

An all-around athlete, Carroll embraced his love of sports throughout his life. He took great pride in playing golf, achieving an impressive 14 championship titles at Selmer Golf & Country Club. Fishing was another of his passions, and he was a devoted fan of Tennessee sports.

Throughout his career, Carroll made significant contributions as an employee at Memphis Light, Gas & Water, served as a groundskeeper at Selmer Golf & Country Club, and eventually retired from the Selmer Utility Department. He was a proud member of the First Christian Church in Selmer and an inductee into the McNairy Central Sports Hall of Fame, where he was honored for his remarkable achievements in athletics. He also held a treasured role as the Voice of the Bobcats, further showcasing his deep connection to the community.

Carroll departed this life in the comfort of his home on September 13, 2024, at the age of 82 years and 5 days. He leaves behind his adoring wife, Cindy Graham of Selmer, TN; two sons, Mike Graham and his wife Lisa of Selmer, TN, and Shawn Graham and his wife Clarkie of Medina, TN; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Charlie Graham and wife Mallory, Anna Adams and husband Parker, John Graham, and Paige Strange and husband Aaron; great-grandchildren, Cade and Colin Graham, Turner Adams, and the anticipation of Baby Adams and Luke Strange, both on the way.

Carroll is survived by his sister, Jane Kirchoff and her husband Rick of Germantown, TN; his brother, John Graham and his wife Diane of Huntsville, AL; along with nieces and nephews, Chris, Julie, Sarah, Bekah, and Jonathan; and a host of extended family and friends whose lives he touched with his kindness.
