Dear Family:
Rock Stone was as fine a person as I've ever known, as were his parents, all of whom encouraged me in every way from the time I was a pup.
It's been many years ago, but we played a lot of golf together. I suppose we discussed just about everything on the planet. He was a wonderful gentleman and a great believer in our Faith, which is what counts in this life.
One quick story: Rock got a Corvette (1958) back in the `50s, and I flagged him down as he was riding by my house. He took me to ride in a car that hardly a person in Piedmont had ever heard of, much less had seen.
I brought that up to him for years (for a laugh) and told him I'd always love him for that alone.
Sorry folks! I'm just finding out about Rock's going Home. But I don't live in the Gville area anymore and don't get much news from there.
Still, all well wishes and being to the family.
Always in union with and for Christ, Seth Hauer

Sincere condolences to the Stone family. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. My father worked with Mr. Stone at Greenville Textile Supply and thought very highly of him.
