Carson Wayne Machen, 31, passed away on May 19, 2023, in Gun Barrel City, TX. Carson was born on October 10, 1991, in San Diego, CA, to parents Samuel and Gina (Jasik) Machen.
Carson was very quiet and reserved but that did not stop him from being the type of person to help others if they needed it. He did not like conflict but if you wronged him, he was quick to forgive you before you even thought to ask for forgiveness. Carson was a cook at Molly’s Catfish Corner for 14 years and had recently started working at Texas Clean Professionals. In his spare time, he really enjoyed cosplaying, watching movies, playing video games, and reading, he especially loved the Harry Potter series. Carson was a truly good friend to those he cared about, and a wonderful brother and son who will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Carson is preceded in death by his grandpa, Billy Machen; grandma, Carol McDonald; and grandpa, Arthur Jasik.
Carson is survived by his parents, Sam and Gina Machen of Kemp, TX; sisters, Taylor and Michelle Machen of Kemp, TX; grandmother, Fran Ficaro and spouse Joe of Tinley Park, Il; Aunt Michelle and Uncle Joe Wiseman of Imperial Beach, CA; nieces, Kay Bass and Kambree Riggs of Kemp, TX; cousin, Isabella Wiseman of Imperial Beach, CA; as well as numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

The world will never be the same as our Lord and savior called one of his greatest angels home. Going to miss our times of hanging out together. I love you little brother and as long as I breathe you will never be forgotten young man.
