Carson DeWitt Summerlin, age 44, of Northport, Alabama passed away September 6, 2024. His Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Magnolia Chapel North with Bro. Richard Bowers and Bro. Tim Baumgarten officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Magnolia Chapel North.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James D. Crowe and Margie L. Summerlin; and uncles, Gene Crowe and Ranny Summerlin.
Survivors include his fiancée, Lauren Franks of Hoover; brother, Casey Lee Summerlin of Northport; and parents, Gary and Sandra Summerlin of Northport; nephews, Rhett Summerlin of Perdido Key, FL and Graham Summerlin of Northport; aunts and uncles, Jimmy and Lanetta Crowe, Danny and Mary Crowe, Bettie Crowe, Edwin and Jane Crowe, Barbara Kruse, Joy Summerlin, Gloria McCullar; and numerous cousins.
Carson was born November 14, 1979 and passed away on September 6, 2024. He graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 1998 and was a graduate of The University of Alabama. He recently employed by SMP Automotive.
Carson had met the love his life, Lauren Franks, and was so happy. He had a charming wit and could make others laugh and light up a room. His hobbies were fishing, archery, reading, watching old movies, and spending time with Lauren. His family was dear to him; and he will be missed by all who knew him. God is faithful and we know we will see Carson again. John 3:16.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Youth Fund at Northport Free Will Baptist Church or Free Will Baptist Children’s Home, Eldridge, AL.
