We live on the West Coast and never met Carter in person. We do remember phone conversations with Len and Susan and the pride and love they showed for Carter.

Carter was a fine young man. He deserved a long and happy life. We envisioned his future -- college, music, video games, family. We are certain that success would have followed his interests.

We were privileged to have him in the family. He will always be in the family.

Carter,

From the time we met as kids to now, you have always been the same happy, sweet boy. We were robbed of seeing you graduate this year, but I´ll celebrate with you on the other side. We are all so proud of the man you are and the man you were becoming. Have fun up there with the angels, and show them the Carter we all know and love dearly. This goodbye isn´t for long, we will see you again soon. I love you, Cousin.
