Born in Norfolk, VA, daughter of John Hughes Young, III and Mary Curtis Wynne. She was predeceased by her husband Donald C. Adams; sister, Frances Wills Lee Young; brother, Lt. Colonel John H. Young, USA (Retired).
Survived by a step-daughter, Lynda Adams Fotos of Spring Grove, IL, a nephew, Dr. Mark A. Young of Berlin, Germany and several cousins.
She was a graduate of Maury High School and attended the Norfolk Division of the College of William & Mary- VPI. She was a retired civil servant and a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Norfolk, VA.
A graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, will be private. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk is in charge.
