Cary Smith Obituary
He was born on Feb. 22, 1952 in Fort Madison to E.J. and Betty Hayes Smith. He worked construction most of his life and later owned and operated Meatball's Bar & Grill. He married Sandra M. Redden on May 28, 2005 in Farmington. She preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 2023. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Cary is survived by a daughter: Brenda (Kevin) Miller of Wellman; four grandchildren: Brody, Collin, Kenzington and Kale and his mother: Betty Smith of Keokuk. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Jack Smith.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Preston Smith officiating. Burial will be held at Soldiers' Circle in Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his memory.
