Casandra (Cassie) Marlene Voorhies, 42, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away and into the Lord's presence on Monday, August 25, 2025. During her final months she was blessed to be at home surrounded by loved ones.

Casandra (Cassie) was born the daughter of Richard Stuart and Sheila Marlene (Noland) McMaken on May 22, 1983 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Throughout life Cassie especially treasured family gatherings at Thanksgiving and Christmas and time spent with her big sister Lori and time at grandpa and grandma McMaken's, as well as with her uncle Mike and aunt Diane's.

Cassie was an outstanding cook and always up for the challenge of new recipes. She also enjoyed reading, movies, music, crocheting and artwork.

Being a pet owner was a special part of her life, usually caring for a cat (cats) and a dog from time to time. Speaking of cats, Cassie acquired a large and colorful collection of cat figurines.

Cassie and her husband Jason Edward Voorhies were united in marriage on January 19, 2017 at the family farm close to Tina, Missouri.

Cassie is survived by her husband of the home Jason; her father Richard McMaken of Carrollton, Missouri; daughter, Isabel Hanisch of Moscow, Pennsylvania; her son, Darrel Ott, Carrollton, Missouri; a step daughter, Hailey Voorhies, Tina, Missouri; step daughter Cloe Harbert and husband Christopher, Bogard, Missouri; step son, Dade Voorhies and wife Arianna, Tina, Missouri; three step grandchildren including Kensley Steward, Payslie Harbert and Layla Harbert, all Bogard, Missouri; half-sister, Lori Ross and husband Jim, Gardner, Kansas; half-brother, Richard McMaken, Jr and Rhonda, of Kansas City, Missouri; step-sisters, Mariah McMaken, Kansas City, Kansas; Alyssa McMaken, Carrollton, Missouri; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Voorhies of Tina, Missouri; and brother-in-law, Jeff Voorhies and wife Alicia, Kansas City, Missouri; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins (Sara).

Cassie was preceded in death by her mother Marlene; grandparents, Edward and Maybelle McMaken and grandparents, Joe and Julie Noland.

A celebration of Cassie's life will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Bosworth Baptist Church, in Bosworth, Missouri.
