Casey Danial Heilig, With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Casey Heilig, a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Casey lived his life boldly, unapologetically, and with a spirit that could never be tamed. Known by many as a true wild child, he carried that fire with him in everything he did.

Casey had a deep love for the open road. Driving semis wasn't just a job to him-it was freedom, adventure, and a piece of his soul. His passion for trucking mirrored the way he lived life: always moving forward, always chasing the horizon.

Above all, Casey cherished his family. His pride and joy were his boys, Cody and Beau, who were the center of his world. He loved nothing more than teaching them, guiding them, and sharing his hard-earned wisdom. Casey also found his forever partner in Bunni, the love of his life and constant companion, whose presence completed his journey. To his grandchildren, he was not just "Grandpa," but someone who could make them laugh, show them how to be strong, and remind them what unconditional love looked like.

Casey had a gift for helping people. Whether it was lending a hand, offering advice, or simply sharing a laugh, he was always the first to show up when someone needed him. He taught by example-showing that toughness and kindness could live side by side.

Those who knew him will remember his wild heart, his love of the road, his loyalty to his family, and the way he lived fully and freely. He was a man of grit, humor, and generosity. Though gone too soon, Casey's spirit lives on in the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the stories that will be told for generations to come.

Casey will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was a reminder to live boldly, love fiercely, and never be afraid to help another soul along the way.

He is survived by his wife, Bunni; son, Cody (Danielle) and their two children, Melania and Mason; son Beau (Taylor) and their daughter, Lucia; parents, Paul, Sr., and Marjorie (John) Haggerty; siblings, Paul Jr. (Bobbie) Heilig, Deanna (Darrin) Ward, and Jeffery (Laura) Heilig; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Heilig.

Services will be at a later date. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond.
