Casey W. Jones

Our beloved Casey Wayne Jones, age 34, passed away unexpectedly and tragically while out of town for work in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Thursday, February 5, 2026. He was employed as a Carpenter with Siwek Construction Co. and was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 706. To say our family is devastated is an understatement. All who knew and love Casey are hurting deeply.

Casey was born on June 9, 1991, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, at Fort Bragg Army Hospital, to his beloved parents, Chris Zimmerman Jones of Bay City and Danny Jones of Hammond, Louisiana.

Casey was bigger than life. From the moment he was born, he was active, confident, and fearless. Everyone knew Casey Jones. He had a brilliant mind and seemed to be good at everything he did-sports, pool, playing cards-anything he set his mind to. He was a hard worker from a young age and loved staying busy. Casey had a passion for deer hunting and proudly bagged his first big buck last season.

Above all else, Casey will always be remembered for how fiercely he loved his family-especially Ariyana and his cherished sons, Jaxon Wayne and Preston Michael, whom he was endlessly proud of.

Casey is survived by his loving wife, Ariyana; his sons, Jaxon and Preston; his devoted parents, Chris Zimmerman Jones and Danny Jones; his beloved sister and brother-in-law, Jessica "Sissy" (Gavin) Tucker and fur nephew Copper.

He is also lovingly remembered by his beloved in-laws Stephanie (Chris Barrios) Johnson, Jamie Johnson; sisters-in-law Ryelle (Garrett) Russell, Amaya Johnson, Maliyah Johnson; brothers-in-law Jamie Johnson Jr. and Rodney Barrios; adoring grandparents Beth (George) Synder; a niece Sutton Beth Russell; his aunts and uncles, Melly (Godmother) Papa, Laurie (Herb) Morley, Kathy (Donn, Godfather) Plummer, Gail Zimmerman, Brandon (Amy) Anderson, George (Kelsey) Snyder, Kara (Steve) Masker, and Nesty (Gabe) Padilla along with their families.

Casey shared close bonds with many cousins, friends and coworkers who meant the world to him-too many to name, but each deeply loved.

Casey was preceded in death by his grandparents Wayne & Pat Jones, Mary Gale (Earl Helwig), and Carl Zimmerman, as well as his cousin, Rob Jones.

Casey's legacy is one of strength, loyalty, hard work, and love-especially the deep, unwavering love he had for Ariyana, Jaxon, and Preston. He will be missed beyond words and remembered forever. We love you more.

The funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 608 N. Madison Ave. – Bay City. Pastor Gabriel Padilla officiating. The family will greet visitors on Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider making a donation to the family in support of Ariyana, Jaxon, and Preston.
