Casey Travis Smith, 39, of Essie, Ky departed this walk of life on February 9th, 2025, at Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare. Casey was born January 15th, 1986, in Clay County, Ky.
By occupation, Casey worked for Queen City Railroad. However, in his free time, you could find him deer hunting, ginsenging, riding 4-wheelers, or fishing.
Casey was preceded in death by his mother Vanessa Smith and brother Chadwick Smith.
He leaves surviving his son Hunter Travis Smith; two uncles Bobby Smith (Ruth) and Victor Smith; four aunts Melanie Smith (Bobby), Charlene Leschinskey (Carl), Annie Smith, Marie Smith, and Crystal Roberts (Randal). A host of other relatives and friends also survive.
The funeral service for Casey will be held at 1p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Eugene "Friday" Roberts officiating.
Interment will follow the service at the Collett Cemetery at Essie, KY.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6p.m. - 9p.m. Monday Evening February 17, 2025 at the funeral home chapel.
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
