Cassandra was born in
Valdosta, Georgia to Addie Bell Trueblood and Isaac White. After taking ill as a small child she was taken in and raised primarily with her aunt Ada Mae Trueblood. The family soon after moved to St. Petersburg Florida where she began her early childhood education. In her middle school years the family moved to Fort Pierce, Florida.
Cassandra started motherhood early when she welcomed her oldest child, a baby boy Terry Jr together with his father Terry Sr. Though the relationship didn't last she continued to co parent with Terry Sr and with additional support from family she raised her son. By 1984, Cassandra would meet and marry Haitian immigrant Jephete Lindor. The pair welcomed a baby girl August of 1984. The marriage lasted a solid 2 years before cultural clash and disagreement lead to divorce. Cassandra and Jeph would co parent their daughter while Cassandra counted to grow and develop in her personal life. She worked multiple jobs, including fast food restaurants, to provide for her children. By 1989 she gained her license as a certified nursing assistant. She immediately gained employment with Sandpiper Cluster of Martin county. In the following years she worked long hours in various nursing facilities while raising her children.
She remained a long term resident of St Lucie County and had 2 additional children, Martavious and Azaria. In 2007, she relocated back to
Valdosta, Georgia, with her youngest daughter, Azaria. She received recognition and high accolades for her dedication to the Valdosta nursing community, working as a highly qualified and veteran nursing assistant. She remained in the nursing field well into her early 50s before medical and physical ailments prevented her from continuing to work.
Cassandra, affectionately known as Bee, Sandra or San, shared a love of music and dance with her oldest son, Terry. She had an amazing singing voice, and one of her favorite pastimes was singing and dancing with her children while doing household chores. Although she was quite shy about her singing talent, her voice helped her escape that shyness and shine in her own spotlight.
She was a scholar who loved books, a passion she shared with her oldest daughter, Taquetta. She spent many nights on the phone helping her with homework while analyzing the stories and lessons she struggled with in school. In her later years, she spent time playing video games with Azaria and sharing in her love of anime and K-pop music. She was diverse in her love of the arts and deeply caring, taking great pride in sharing in her children's hobbies.
Her youngest son, Martavious, was born with a medical condition that prevented him from being with his family long-term, but he shared all of his mother's physical features-from her fair complexion to her round face with puffy, kissable cheeks.
Today we celebrate Cassandra's life as we prepare for her to enter the next life with no pain or ailments.
