Cassandra Kay Washington Wallace, 49, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at NMMC in Tupelo, MS. Born in Tupelo on January 30, 1977, to Glen and Ola Lee Washington, she spent most of her life in Pontotoc County. A proud graduate of South Pontotoc High School in 1995, Cassandra began her career as a licensed cosmetologist, later serving in various roles in local law enforcement, and eventually working at Moore's Feed Store. Known for her warm smile and kind heart, she was a devoted wife to Greg for 18 years, a loving mother, and a treasured member of her community.

Cassandra is survived by her husband, Greg Wallace; her daughters, Summer Strevel (Colin Johnstone), London Taylor, and Trinity Wallace; her son, Riley Wallace; her sisters, Ruthie Simmons and Wanda Dowden (C.W.); and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Autry and Maudie Washington, and Mosby and Leola Lee, as well as her in-laws, Dennis Ray and Nelda Wallace.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 1 PM at Houlka United Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Carly Lawson officiating and Bro. C.W. Dowden delivering the eulogy. Visitation will take place Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 PM and again Thursday morning from 11 AM until the service begins. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Greg Dowden, Cheston Dowden, Kyle Gillespie, Reed Wallace, Jason Wallace, and Jason Wilson, with Noah Dowden serving as honorary pallbearer.
