Catharine Ann "Kay" (Brunk) Eash, 92, residing in Sandusky, passed away late Saturday evening, August 16, 2025 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness. Her life reflected her faith in Jesus Christ and now she lives with him eternally.
Kay was born on November 6, 1932 in Goshen, IN to the late John Milton and Elsie (Yoder) Brunk.
Kay graduated Frederick High School in MD and was a 1954 graduate of Goshen College. She was employed as a teacher at Genoa and Sandusky City Schools. Kay was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. She enjoyed volunteering, world travel and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Kay is survived by her three daughters, Susan (Greg) Mathews, Karen (Garry) Masowich, and Barbara (Paul) Simonsen; 7 grandchildren, Anita, Chris, Katie, Mike, Amy, Jenn and Lisa; 16 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Verlin G. Eash in 1989; and her brother, Jack Brunk.
Friends may call on Saturday August 23rd, 2025, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky with her son-in-law, Pastor Paul Simonsen presiding. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
