Catherine (Cathy) Bargy (Watters) passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2024, in Brighton, Michigan. She was a devoted wife to Terry, a loving mother to Danielle (Ivan) Custodio, and the cherished grandmother of Kaden and Emily Custodio.
A proud Marine veteran, Cathy exemplified dedication and service both in her military service and as an incredible nurse. Her passion for caring for others touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Despite her many achievements, Cathy's greatest source of pride was her role as a mother and grandmother. She found immense joy in celebrating the milestones of her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure.
Cathy is preceded in death by her grandparents, Earl and Mary Smith, and Richard Sr. and Helen Watters. Known for her loving and empathetic nature, Cathy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be cherished for the light and happiness she brought into the lives of those around her. In honoring her legacy, the family kindly requests that she be remembered for the joy she shared, rather than the sadness of her passing.
She is survived by her husband Terry, daughter, Danielle (Ivan) Custodio, grandchildren Kaden and Emily Custodio, parents, Richard and Theresa Watters, her brother Rick, sister Michele (Schafer), nieces and nephews, Colton, Keegan, and Cooper Schafer, as well as her beloved dog, Zilla.
Her Farewell Cathy's family and friends will gather 10:00am, Wednesday, May 1, 2024 until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Howell.
