Kitty (Catherine) Coyle Doherty, age 76, daughter of the late William and Lillian Coyle, passed away November 27, 2025 after a lengthy illness. Surviving her are her daughter, Liz Doherty-Anderson, son-in-law Larry Anderson and 3 grandchildren-Will, Emmy and Grace of Warrenton, Virginia. Pre-deceasing her in death are her sister Mary Ann Egli and four brothers: Bill, Jim, Mike and Joe Coyle. She has 2 living brothers: John (Irene) Coyle of Wilmington, NC, and Ned (Therese) Coyle of Toledo; sisters-in-law Leta Coyle and Bonnie Coyle (of Toledo, OH), Maureen Coyle (Sun Valley, ID) and Bridget Coyle (San Francisco, CA) and 15 nieces, nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Kitty graduated from Edgecliff College in Cincinnati (now Xavier) with a degree in Social Work. In the 1970's she lived in the Washington, D.C. area working for the Department of the Interior (US Geological Survey), where her only child was born. They then moved to Chicago for a time. Kitty returned to the Toledo area and spent about 10 years as a Realtor for Welles Bowen Realty in Maumee. After that she worked as a social worker for Lucas County Job & Family Services for 20 years. She retired to Perrysburg.

Kitty was blessed to be raised in a wonderful family that taught her a love for God and family. She cherished her parents and siblings and all the fun and wonderful times they had together sharing music and humor. Kitty had a great love of music, instilled by her parents, and musical theater (because plays are boring-lol!); she could tell a joke really well!

She loved singing in choirs. She was a member of the Reston (Virginia) Chorale, Perrysburg Suburban Singers, Toledo Choral Society and her church choir. Kitty was a woman of faith and love for God. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Being a mother gave her life purpose. Kitty will always be remembered as a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother. She and her daughter, Liz, shared a special mother-daughter bond. "Grammy Kitty" as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren will be greatly missed, especially at Christmas time, as these were special times to be with their Grammy.

Visitation will be at The Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Sunday, December 7 from 2:00 -5:00. Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Perrysburg on Monday, December 8 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will be at Calvary Cemetery in Toledo, where she will be buried alongside her parents.
