Catherine L. Esty

Leesburg - Catherine L. Esty, 87 of Leesburg passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 in The Villages, FL. Catherine was born on March 17, 1938 in Somerville, MA to Harry and Catherine (Murphy) Lambert. Catherine is remembered first as a proud and loyal Mother. Her children and grandchildren were her purpose in life. Many who got to know Catherine felt genuine love and referred to her as "Mom". Catherine enjoyed a lengthy civil service career and retired as the Secretary to the Director of Naval Air Station - Pensacola, FL. Her responsibilities included managing the Director's daily schedule and organizing upcoming events. She retired after over 20 years of civil service. While a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Pensacola, Catherine supported and participated in the annual St. Anne's Roundup and other church events for many years. She loved baking and decorating cakes with friends and family. Catherine was consistently selfless when it came to her boys, family and friends. She will be missed by so many and honorably remembered for her genuine and authentic love. Catherine is survived by her sons; Jay (Lisa) Esty, Scott (Debbie) Esty and Sean Esty, all of Pensacola. She also leaves grandchildren Brittanie Esty, Clayton (Jade) Esty and Brent Esty and great-grandson Collins Esty. A private burial is being planned.
