Catherine E. Freeman, aged 84, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025. Born on February 3, 1941, in Cincinnati, she was the cherished daughter of Clyde Marcum and Lulu Shelton (née Updyke).

Catherine is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles E. Freeman, along with her parents, Clyde Marcum and Lulu Shelton. She leaves behind a loving family, including her children: Charles "Wayne" Freeman, James Freeman, Mary Freeman, Sherian (Ron) Terry, and Melissa (Larry) Gill, as well as a host of extended family members and friends. Catherine will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Catherine was known for her deep love of animals and her impressive skills in crossword puzzles and word finds. As a dedicated caretaker, she always put others before herself and enjoyed sharing her passion for crocheting with friends and family.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Cremation Funerals Receptions, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211, on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM. In remembrance of Catherine, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
