Born on February 5, 1959, in Danville, Virginia, Catherine was the daughter of the late Don Stafford and Dorothy Moorefield Stafford.
Catherine was a devoted mother and a strong, caring provider to her sons, Jared Glessner and Athan Glessner. In her earlier years, she enjoyed sewing and cross-stitching. She also loved working on Sudoku and puzzle books, watching old westerns, and indulging in her favorite treats-ice cream and honeybuns.
She is survived by her sons, Jared Glessner and Ethan Glessner; her brother, Don Stafford and his wife Dee; her sister, Jennie Stafford; nephew, Christopher Jacobsen; niece, Melissa Shantz and several other nieces and nephews.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held by the family at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, 545 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
