Catherine Hahn

1942 - 2026

Catherine Ann Stambaugh Hahn "Annie", 83 of Thurmont passed away January 17, 2026, at her home.

Born August 2, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Marvin & Kay Owen Stambaugh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years Thomas Henry Hahn, and brothers Paul and Lee Stambaugh; and her nephew Jeff Stambaugh.

In her early years she was very active in 4-H. She was employed at Cambridge Rubber factory in Taneytown, MD until it closed. She then went on to work at Frederick Trading in Frederick, MD. She enjoyed singing in the church choir in her early years and playing Uno with her great nieces and nephews was one of her favorite pastimes. She also enjoyed word puzzles, reading and taking various vacations.

Catherine is survived by her sister Alice Stambaugh of Thurmont, MD and in addition is also survived by her sister-in-law Judy Stambaugh. She is also survived by niece Paula Boyer (Chris) of Romney, WV, nephew Paul Stambaugh (Renee) of Emmitsburg, niece-in-law Susan Houck, great nephews Brian Boyer (Kathleen), Aaron and Byrce Stambaugh, great nieces Michelle Bonasera (Jason), and Meghan Gochenour (Jason). She is further survived by great-great nieces Adriana, Amilia, Adalina, and Kora, in addition to great-great nephews Kace, Colt, Angelo, and Anthony.

The family will receive friends on THURSDAY January 22, 2026, at the Mt. Tabor Church Activities Building: 10043 Longs Mill Road Rocky Ridge, MD 21778 from 2-6 P.M. Funeral services will be held on FRIDAY at Mt. Tabor Church Activities Building at 11 A.M. with Pastor Sean DeLawder officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
