NORTHPORT - Catherine Ann Kellogg (Cathy) passed away peacefully at Medilodge of Suttons Bay, Michigan, on January 12, 2023, following a lengthy illness.
Cathy was born on February 28, 1951 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was the only daughter of Elmer and Dorothy McMasters, who preceded her in death.
On April 8, 1973, Cathy married Jeffery Versal Kellogg (Jeff) of Northport, Michigan, who survives. Cathy and Jeff met in 1969, while Jeff was in the Navy and stationed in Boston. At that time, Cathy was employed as a Medical Transcriptionist at Massachusetts General Hospital. After getting married, Cathy and Jeff returned to Northport to raise a family. Cathy spent several years working as a Teller at Empire National Bank, and later in her life, worked at Hansen's Market in Suttons Bay, where she was beloved by many.
Cathy is survived by Jeff, her loving husband of 50 years; daughters, Shana (Kenneth) Popp, and Jacalyn (Michael) Wilson; one son, Nicholas Kellogg; four grandchildren, Seth Kellogg, Skylar Korson, Zachary Schraufnagel, and Katie Schraufnagel; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved brother, Dennis (Cindy) McMasters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Michael McMasters, and Billy McMasters; and daughter-in-law, Evelyn Kellogg.
A celebration of Cathy's life will be announced in the spring.
The family would like to sincerely thank all of the wonderful care givers and staff at Medilodge of Suttons Bay, and Hospice of Michigan for taking excellent care of Cathy during her final years.
