To the entire Prewitt family, please accept our condolences, sympathy, and prayers for the loss of your beloved mother, Mrs. Catherine. We have been neighbors, friends, and like family for as long as we can remember. We all learned the lessons of faith, family, and hard work from our parents. They were our heroes and heroines. We looked up to them. We respected them. We did not want to disappoint them. And that means all of the parents in the community, not just our own. We knew that any one of them had our back. Mrs. Catherine was always so nice to all of us old rusty boys running up and down that gravel road. We probably gave all the mothers a few extra gray hairs back then.

I just want you to know that we are thinking about every one of you during this difficult time. We love you all. You are in our prayers.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Miss Catherine. Be assured that God will continue to comfort you during this time of deep sorrow. She was loved by our family and was a special friend to Mama. She will be greatly missed.

Miss Catherine was a dear and close friend of my mother, Lelia Greer, and a special neighbor and friend of the Greer family. We were saddened to hear of her passing and will miss her presence in our community. Our prayers and love go out to all of her children. God's Comforter is with you now and will be in the days ahead.

During our many conversations by phone or in person, she always told me how much she loved me, and how I reminded her of my deceased mom, Almeda Oliver Cannon. They were childhood friends, pregnant-at-the-same-time moms, wives of hard working husbands, and just look how God blessed so many of THEIR children to also be friends for a lifetime! She was SO PROUD of her children, grandchildren, and extended children from near and far! Family, be assured that my We (The Cannon/Luster Families) are just a prayer away!
