Catherine Stollsteimer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Angelus Chapel Mortuaries on Mar. 9, 2026.
Catherine R. Stollsteimer, 64, passed away on March 3, 2026. She was born on September 5, 1961 in Durango, CO to proud parents, Anthony "Tony" Stollsteimer and Lucille Santistevan-Stollsteimer.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Anselmo and Arbela Santistevan, grandpa, Fred Stollsteimer, grandma, Jenny Stolsteimer, aunt Vangie Trujillo; uncles, Frank Trujillo, Dennis Santistevan and Chuck Stollsteimer.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Tony & Lucille Stollsteimer; daughter, Angela (Pete) Trujillo; brothers, Pat (Shana) Stollsteimer, and Nick Stollsteimer; granddaughters, Justine (Livante) Antonio and Hollyann May; grandson, Anthony Trujillo; great-grandson, Li'ere Antonio; nephews, Damian (Courtney) Stollsteimer and Derek Stollsteimer; niece, Jenna Seeley; great-nephew, Anthony Stollsteimer; great-nieces, Arabella Stollsteimer and Ava Stollsteimer. Special recognition to her cousin Steve Garcia, uncle Sam Santistevan and caretakers Peggy Pino and Val (Wowie) Nicholas. Along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from Pueblo, Denver, Montrose, Grand Junction and Utah.

Anyone who knew Cathy instantly felt the unconditional love that flowed from her. She had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person in her life. Forming lifelong friendships came naturally to her, and she connected easily with so many people. Coworkers and friends often would affectionately call her "Aunt Cat", "Nana Cat" or sometimes "Momma C". Cathy welcomed everyone into her life and treated each person with the highest regard. She was an animal lover, especially her dogs Korbit and Bearbear.

A friend of hers recently said that she always made him feel "seen." She never judged anyone and treated everyone with the same kindness and respect. Although she fought a long, hard battle with her health for many years, she never complained about the pain and struggles she endured. She often hid them from her family, suffering in silence, yet she was always there for others.

Cathy was generous to a fault. Though she never had much to give, she would offer you her last dollar or the shirt off her back in a heartbeat. She will be missed by many and will forever be our "Pink Princess." As she always said to her loved ones, "I love you to the moon and back."
