She is survived by her children: James Thompson and wife Regina, John Thompson and wife Amy, and Jennifer Thompson Paterson and husband William.
She was the proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren-Chance Thompson; Logan Thompson and wife Katie; Connor Reinacher and wife Kailee; Morgan Holsapple and husband Scott; Abby Thompson; Riley Thompson and wife Dori; Remington Russo; Aaron Paterson and wife Tessa; Casey Paterson; Kristen Paterson; and Ella Paterson. Kitty was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Knox Holsapple, Harper Reinacher, Tate Thompson, Hazel Holsapple, Dean Paterson, Blake Thompson, and Zeke Thompson.
She is also survived by her sister, Carole Jourdan, and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law Ben Jourdan, five sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.
Kitty dedicated 40 years of her life to teaching, with 28 of those years spent as a 5th-grade teacher at Sandoval Grade School. She was deeply respected by colleagues, students, and families whose lives she touched throughout her career. She served her community faithfully, including many years as President of the Sandoval Women's Club. A devoted member of the Sandoval United Methodist Church, she also served as President of the Church Bible School program, sharing her faith with children and families.
Kitty loved life wholeheartedly. She treasured time with family and friends, and she enjoyed vacations, camping, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, playing cards, eating out, and celebrating holidays and birthdays. Her warm, joyful spirit was felt by everyone who knew her.
In her later years, Kitty found comfort in sunshine, beautiful skies, and the quiet joy of spending time with her puppies, Nash and Piper. She cherished traveling to Branson, Nashville, the Smoky Mountains, Kentucky Lake, and Rome, Georgia, making wonderful memories along the way.
Kitty's life was one of love, faith, kindness, and devotion-a legacy that will continue to bless her family and all who knew her.
