Catherine Louise Trivett, 65, a beloved resident of Johnson City, TN, passed away on March 9, 2026, at Johnson City Medical Center. Born on October 19, 1960, Catherine was the embodiment of kindness and compassion, remembered fondly for her unwavering dedication to family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Terry Edward Trivett, Jr., as well as her cherished parents, Bronce Fitzgerald McClain and Martha Rice McClain. Catherine will be deeply missed by her brothers, John McClain (Susan Marken), Robert McClain (Sharon), and Bronce McClain (Mary Anne), who carry forward her spirit of love and care.
Catherine and her husband Junior had a special place in their hearts for horses, a passion that mirrors her nurturing nature. Her remarkable ability to care for others was most evident in the devoted way she tended to her husband during his final years. Her warmth and connection with those around her flourished during her time at American House Assisted Living, where she formed lasting friendships and positively impacted the lives of many.
The McClain family will hold a graveside service to celebrate Catherine's life on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Monte Vista Memorial Park. All who knew and loved Catherine are invited to join in this meaningful remembrance of a beautiful soul.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to the Appalachian Highlands Humane Society, located at 2101 W. Walnut St., Johnson City, TN, 37604, in honor of Catherine's love for animals and her compassionate spirit.
