Cathi Valentine Radziewicz, 66 of Shaler Township, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones and music on Monday, July 14, 2025.
Cathi loved nobody more than her two kids, Marc Radziewicz and Leah Bogel with the possible exception of her grandsons, Landon, Weston, Cameron, and Julion. The sight or sound of any of "my boys", as she called them, could turn a rotten day into a great day for her and often turned a frown into a wide grin that lit up her face from ear to ear!
The other love of Cathi's life was her late husband, Anthony Radziewicz, who left this life in 2017. They met at Shadyside Hospital and shared many wonderful years and memories together.
Cathi was loved first by her parents, Al and Iona Valentine and her siblings, Linda Lee Valentine Gelormini (Lou), John Valentine, Pat Valentine, Wayne Valentine (Marie) and Carol Valentine. She was loved later in life by 10 nieces and nephews as well as her sister-in-law, Marge (Sonny).
Cathi also loved just about anything with four legs. As a child, Cathi brought home enough stray cats and kittens to make the Valentines a full-fledged cat family for years. And let's not forget her beloved but frustrating Steelers! Cathi would not allow one Steeler decoration to go up until the playoffs started. Cathi's many devoted friends included fellow line-dancers, karaoke singers, loved ones, people with addictive disorders, and music lovers.
Cathi was a survivor, battling multiple life-altering illnesses for so many years. Some of these medical issues masked early symptoms of the ALS that eventually took her from us. The AHN ALS services, the AHN Hospice service, the ALS Society, and the staff at AHN Wexford Hospital were extremely helpful to both Cathi and her family. We are grateful to them for assisting Cathi to transition to her next chapter of life in dignity and comfort. Cathi always said she wanted a party, not a funeral. Keep an eye on her family's social media pages for celebration of life details to be released soon!
Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA.

To the entire Valentine family I am so sorry for your loss, Cathi was one of my very best friends in H.S. we had so many good times together. When we reconnected again she spoke lovingly of Marc and Leah and yes her grandsons. The only peace I get out of this is her pain is gone and she is with Tony and her parents. I wish all of you my very best, praying for your entire family.
