Cathleen Gilmartin Obituary
She was the wife of the late Richard Gilmartin who passed away in 2017 and the daughter of the late Martin T. and Catharine Cecelia (Frey) Keane.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Hindo (his wife Tracy) and Richard Gilmartin (his wife Carol), and her two sisters, Kristine Mancini and Martina Altomonte as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Retta Gardner and her son Brian Gilmartin.
Cathy was born in Norristown, PA on April 26, 1932 where she resided until 1981.
Shortly after she and Dick retired to Venice, FL and then to Sarasota, before returning to Exton, PA to be closer to family.
While living in Florida for 22 years Cathy and Dick made many lasting friendships. She was an exceptional cook and loved to entertain and was always ready to try new restaurants. She and Dick loved to travel and always had visitors to their homes in Fl. Every home was decorated beautifully.
Cathy and Dick shared a marriage built on faith, family and love for 39 wonderful years. Her spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Hickory House for their kindness, exceptional care and love for Cathy.
Funeral services will be private under the care of James J. Terry Funeral Home, Downingtown, Pa.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
