Cathy McNeil Brown (75) was peacefully called home by God on November 1, 2025, with her beloved husband, Jerry, at her side at their home in Avon Park. Born on February 3, 1950, in Miami, Florida.
Cathy graduated from Southwest High School. She was a devoted homemaker and active member of her church before serving as the director of Choices Family Resource Center for 10 years. She found joy in the fulfillment of volunteering, the adventure of travel, and above all, the love of family.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerry; children, Kenneth McNeil, Cassie Buckland (spouse John), Margaret Sager (spouse Elisha), Stephen; grandchildren, Owen and Harrison Buckland, David, Phebe Russell (spouse Jared), Catherine, and Edward Sager; great-grandson Micah Russell; siblings John McNeil Jr. and Victor McNeil.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret McNeil, and brothers Gary and Daniel McNeil.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, November 7th, visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. and service at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Avon Park, 100 N. Lake Avenue, Avon Park, FL.
